This is a machine-assisted treatment for tiled floors and the grout lines running through them. It lifts mould and mineral deposits out of grout that mopping cannot reach, which is why a floor can look clean and still read grey along every join. When you book this service on its own, we clean wall tiles as well as floor tiles. All equipment and materials are supplied by us and the work is done by our own employed, uniformed team.
Some of this work already sits inside a bond clean. Grout mould in the shower recess is removed and bathroom wall tiles are wiped down as part of a full Perth bond clean. What this service adds, when booked as its own job, is the full machine-assisted treatment across floor and wall tiles. It is not a repair for something the bond clean skips.
Tile and grout cleaning is not a mandatory service. There's no requirement to have your tiles professionally cleaned before you move out.
Even so, clean grout matters. Dark, mouldy grout lines are one of the more obvious things a property manager notices at a final inspection.
Doing it yourself is completely fine. The tricky part is actually shifting mould and mineral deposits that have worked their way into the grout. A mop and a store-bought spray only lift what's on the surface. A lot of DIY attempts fall short here for exactly that reason.

Both figures below are GST inclusive and both are needed to work out a price. On a small job the minimum charge is the number that applies, not the per square metre rate, which is why we never publish one without the other.
A worked example, so the minimum makes sense. A standard bathroom of roughly 10 square metres of floor tile is 10 multiplied by $5.50, which is $55. That falls below the $132 minimum, so the minimum charge applies instead and the price is $132. This is the normal case for a single bathroom, not an edge case, which is exactly why we state the minimum every time we state the rate.
What moves a price above the starting figures. The condition of the grout, how far mould and mineral deposits have gone, the tile type, and how accessible the area is. Scope is confirmed when you book.
Payment terms. A 10% deposit secures your booking and the balance is due on the day of service.

Machine-assisted cleaning does a great deal and it cannot work on grout that is no longer there. These two limits are honest rather than defensive.
